Birthday Card for my Mom ♥ (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple) Birthday Card for my Mom who's birthday is today. :o)

♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

To create this card I used stamps from two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: Mother's Day and Bloom

These two sets were perfect to create a card for my Mom. I used word MAMA, which is Croatian word for Mother, and gorgeous roses, because they are my Mom's favorite flowers and her name is Ruža, which is Croatian word for Rose. :o)

I made a background on a white cardstock paper panel. I went with watermark stamping technique using VersaMark Watermark Ink. This is not anything new in a stamping world, but I'm starting to explore it and I love it.

I glued a foam sheet on the back of the panel and glued it on a white top folded card base.

I stamped roses and leaves on a white watercolor paper and colored them in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. My mom's favorite color is violet, so my choice was obvious. :o)

After coloring, I fussy cut all images, traced edges with black marker and glued them on the card, leaving petals unglued, to add some dimension to my card. To add even more dimension, I used some foam tape to pop up the rose on top.

Card dimensions: 89 mm x 120 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4")
