First Communion Boy Easel Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #123)

Happy Friday everyone :-D

It´s time for a new challenge at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

The theme for this fortnight is #123, Jungs + Männer / Boys + Men.

This time our lucky winner will win a fab little prize again. It's a set of flower buttons to embellish your projects.

For this challenge I made this First Communion Boy Easel Card, for my cousin's Marko First Communion.

I used lovely Mo's Manning digital stamp 'First Communion Boy s' digital image. I printed the image on a white paper (160 grams), colored it with colored pencils and  blended colors with baby oil.

White butterflies are made using butterfly stencil, structure paste and palette knife. I made the stencil from cardstock scraps and butterfly paper puncher.

Card dimensions are 139 mm x 139 mm (5 1/2" x 5 1/2").

Happy Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :-D

Today it's my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles.

I made CAS (clean and simplecard, Happy Birthday.

I used two gorgeous Jane's Doodles stamp sets, Butterflies and Anemone.

First I stamped sentiment on a white cardstock panel, masked it with post-it paper and splattered whole panel with Black Soot Distressed Ink using fine paint brush.

I glued a stripe of black cardstock paper on a card base, added 3-D foams behind white splattered panel and glued it on the card base.

I stamped a butterfly on a white cardsock paper and colored it in watercoloring technique using Mustard Seed Distressed Ink, water and fine brush. After drying, I fussy cut the butterfly, added 3-D foams behind it and placed it on a card.

To add more color to my card, I glued yellow enamel stickers on the card.

Hoppy Birthday Tag (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

Hi everyone :-D

Today it´s my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Hoppy Birthday Tag

I used super cute image 'Cool Froggie' from 2013 Good Luck Froggies Release. This is the sixth and the last one from the release. I used all froggies from the release and you can see all my projects here

"Frogs are symbols of prosperity, wealth, friendship, and abundance in many cultures. In other cultures they symbolize fertility. In the Native American culture of the Southwestern United States, the frog carries a piece of wood in its mouth because the Mojave people believe frogs brought fire to humans. For the ancient Romans, the frog was believed to bring good luck to one's home. Native Aborigines of Australia believe that frogs brought the thunder and rain. Frogs are said to be effective in speeding up recovery from disease. Among the ancient Egyptians and Greeks, frogs symbolized inspiration and fertility. In ancient Egypt, Hekt, the frog goddess, protected newborn babies, hence frogs were symbols of fertility and birth. The frog is also said to attract true friends and to help find long-lasting love."

Details about my tag...

Few weeks ago I ran into a great tutorial by Julia Altermann, about how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pens. Of course I had to try that! :-D

I printed an image on a white watercoloring paper and colored it in watercoloring technique, using Stabilo pens, fine brush and water. I smeared froggie's eyes, so I printed one more image on a piece of watercoloring paper, fussy cut eyes, colored edges with black permanent pen and glued them over smeared eyes.

I was thinking some time what to do with the image and decided to cut it on half and make a peeking frog.

I printed one more image on a blue cardstock paper and cut out a tag shape. I fussy cut the colored image, colored edges with black permanent pen and glued it over the image printed on tag.

I added gloss resin on froggie's dots to create glossy accents and to add some dimension to the image.

I wrote the sentiment on my computer, using Stays In The Cave' free font from Kevin&Amanda. I wrote it in a text box. I printed the sentiment on a piece of white cardsotck paper, cut it and added 3-D foams behind the banner and placed it on the tag.

At the end I added some enamel dots, ribbon and twine to my tag.

Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone :-D

Today I'm taking part in Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop. Two new sets have been released into the store. I made two CAS (clean and simplecards using these two new stamp sets. Love all the images! So cute, don't you think. :-D

First up is a Paw-sitively perfect Card using the Dog stamp set

I stamped a dog on a white cardstock paper and colored him in watercoloring technique using Distressed Inks, water and fine brush. After drying, I fussy cut him colored the edges with black permanent pen, added 3-D foams behind him and placed him on a card.
Card dimensions are 127 mm x 101 mm (5" x 4").

Next card is Cat's Dreams Card using the Cats stamp set and one stamp (small paw) from Dogs stamp set

First I made a blue starry panel on a white 160 grams paper. I stamped small stamps and colored them with black permanent pen. Then I colored whole panel with Stormy Sky Distressed Ink, using blending tool and splattered the panel with white tempera color mixed with water, using paintbrush. I stamped fish, mouse, twine and sleeping cat on the white cardstock paper, colored them in watercoloring technique using Distressed Inks, water and fine paint brush. After drying, I fussy cut all images and colored their edges with black permanent pen. I glued mouse, fish and twine images directly on the blue panel over previously stamped and black shaded images. I glued blue panel on a white card base and stamped sentiment on the card base. I stamped only a part of the sentiment. At the end, I added 3-D foams behind the cat and placed her on the card.
Card dimensions are 139 mm x 107 mm (5 1/2" x 4 1/4").

I hope you'll like my cards. Below you can find a detailed supply list. :-D

Garden Gnome Card

Hi everyone :-D

Today I want to share a card I made this week.
A colleague from work asked me if I can make a card for her mother's birthday. She loves and collects garden gnomes, so a card with a gnome was a perfect choice. Both, my colleague and her mother, loved it! :-D

Here it is, a Garden Gnome Card.

Making this card, I was inspired with stunning work by Alice Wertz of Alice's Little Wonderland

Alice is very talented and creative lady. I like her style a lot! I love her CAS designs, layouts, coloring, usage of scraps, design papers, Washi tapes and embellishments! Couple of weeks ago I contacted her and asked if I can CASE her cards. She accepted my request immediately, so there will be some CASE-ing of her work in the future. Thank you Alice!! :-D

Stop by Alice's blog, Alice's Little Wonderland, and see her AMAZING work! Candies for eyes and heart! :-D

Details about my card...

I glued a stripe of designer paper on a white card base, added dimensional foams behind the white panel and glued it also on the card base. At the end I decorated card with Washi tapes and Enamel Stickers, all from Create a Smile.

Card dimensions are 107 mm x 139 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

Blue Dragonfly CAS Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #294)

Hi everyone :-D

It´s time for a new challenge at Crafty Creations Challenges.
http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Our theme for this fortnight is #294 - Four.

Our sponsor for this challenge is SLS Lines, whit a great prize for one random winner.

I used 4 different colors of cardstock paper (white and 3 shades of blue), 4 shades of blue colored pencils, 4 enamel dots, 4 enamel arrows and our sponsor's lovely image 'Dragonfly', and made this Blue Dragonfly CAS (Clean and Simple) Card.

I was inspired with a photo of blue dragonfly, I took 2 years ago when I was visiting Trsteno Arboretum near Dubrovnik.

Image is paper pieced and I used 6 images for this card.

I printed 2 images on a white cardstock paper, 2 on light blue cardstock paper, 1 on medium blue and 1 on dark blue cardstock paper. I colored and shaded pieces I needed with 4 shades of blue colored pencils, fussy cut all pieces, colored edges and 'hidden' parts with black permanent pens and glued all pieces together.

Here is a photo of all pieces I used.

I glued Washi tape on a card base. Love this! :-D

I wanted to add just a little bit of dimension to my card, so I added 3-D foams behind the white panel with image and glued it on the card base.

At the end, I embellished my card with 4 enamel dots and 4 enamel arrows.

Card dimensions are 107 mm x 138 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
